Shamanism Workshops

Our Work Shop on "Self Healing and Healing Others"

This year our Work Shop was held at beautiful Otter Creek Park outside the city of Louisville, Kentucky. Nestled on a bluff overlooking the Ohio River, the cabin offered an impressive view in a natural setting. In close proximity to hiking trails, horseback riding, a Nature Center, an Astronomical Observatory and more. The May weather was perfect to be outside under the blanket of trees communing with the raccoons, spiders and geodes. There was plenty of time and activities in the area to experience and play outside of the Work Shop itself. One group of people went 'geode hunting' and collected some beautiful stones, others took long hikes in the wilds, while a couple people stumbled upon a natural cave.

From all parts of the globe and country, people began arriving on Monday afternoon for our social evening, the first time most of us would meet. Our dinner was catered from a well-known local BBQ restaurant. Even though we consider this an evening of getting to know one another, healing was already beginning.

Our Work Shops are a Shamanic Act

Intent and healing energy are set weeks in advance of the Work Shop by Gary/niteshad so that energy moves the entire time and for months afterwards. This enabled everyone to bask in the healing energy and learn about ourselves in a manner that's unlike other gatherings. Words literally fail, they simply cannot describe the depth to which people are touched and the healing changes that take place.

The faculty has been rigorously and completely trained in the Maker tradition's healing methods; their lives are an expression of conscious acts of teaching and healing. They teach both individually and to the group, as each students' needs and desires to move forward and grow are of the utmost concern. The energy used creates outcomes that are quite astounding, when experienced in person and viewed in retrospect. Every person attending the Work Shop received a private healing session and one-on-one time with a faculty member in addition to the 20 hours of active group learning.

Our Work Shops are Different

No two days were alike, no two moments were the same, all the time the spent together was used to create and experience healing. Since we're all so unique in our experience, we let the people who attended express themselves on another page called "Personal Reflections". We hope you take the time to read them to better understand what our gatherings mean to people. Our next Work Shop is in the planning stages and we welcome any feedback you may have.

Personal Reflections

"The workshop blew my feeble expectations of a positive outcome out of the water!

looking into your eyes

- a wave flushed over me

what I saw I did not know

but now I remember
