Transgender Help

Recommended Posts

Hi, first of all I’m sorry if this is the wrong place to be asking this or inappropriate to ask. I’m transgender and currently going through a lot in my life at the moment, I dropped out of school awhile ago, don’t have a job, and was wondering if someone could help me in any way. There’s more than just being trans that I’d like help with, but I don’t want to publicly say it all in this post. I know this sounds stupid, but is there any spirit, angel or entity of some form etc. that can help grant wishes? Or change appearance or aspects of my life externally? Or just that can help me be happier? I’ve heard of Jinn and Faeries, but I don’t fully know how it works. Would anyone be able to help me, or know of anyone who could help me? Sorry about my naivety whenit comes to all this, I’m just looking for help.

Thanks in advance.

hi Northi,

Sorry to hear about what you've been through and I personally have no idea how you feel and thanks for trusting here such a sensitive question.

I don't know how we can help you because here we don't transform or change external appearance well of course possibility is endless but it is left with the individual to do it not that we can do it for you. There is no quick fix to that but for now what I can say is try to accept who you are, that would be the best thing you can do, I mean the more you try to push yourself the more it become confusing and painful. There is no lasting happiness that any external things can give us because the joy of living is the happiness of just simply be. No matter what people say against us it doesn't matter if we accept and love ourselves first.

All the best to you and remember you can ask help and throw out into the universe, you are not alone and forever won't be, you are loved as everyone is.

Hi Northi and welcome,

To add to what Belle has said, I would offer that you seek community at a LGBT center near you. You might find one at a local college/university, if your city doesn't have a center of its own. You may find it helpful to talk about your life and experience with others who are going through similar experiences as you.

From the shamanic perspective, I would suggest committing time in places of nature. For instance, you could sit with your back against a big old tree. As you sit, think of the roots of the tree and how they go deep into the earth, connecting with everything... and think of how, as you sit, you are rooted into the earth, too.  As you think on that, imagine how the roots of the tree intertwine with your own 'roots,' forming a connection between you two. Imagine you are breathing in the oxygen that the tree is producing, and notice how the tree is breathing in your expelled breath, as well. Rest softly in that connection with the spirit of that tree and notice any images/thoughts/sounds that comes to you in your quiet reflection.  Maybe something will come, or maybe you'll just find yourself resting in communion with the tree... whatever happens, just sit with that in a state of acceptance, just as the tree sits in a state of acceptance with you. Do that practice as you can, and see how it goes for you, in time.

Another thing I could suggest about becoming happier is for you to deeply examine how/why you are finding yourself unhappy... to discover and see the ways you bind yourself through certain behaviors and patterns in the way you move through your life. Shamanscave offers tools to begin this journey, but, as Belle said, this is something where we have to do it ourselves. We call this self-healing, and the recapitulation exercise is a core component of that. You can find the basic exercise here: https://www.shamanscave.com/self-healing/the-recapitulation

Shamanscave also offers an 8-week online recapitulation class where we meet once a week at a designated time in a forum atmosphere. I believe the next session should start sometime in late-June, if you're interested. Here's the sign-up link for that: https://www.shamanscave.com/classes/online-classes/beginner-class-recap-1-detail

Hi Northi,

Welcome! If you’d like, feel free to pm me and I’d be happy to help answer the best I can with your questions.

While their isn’t an entity that grants wishes that would change your physical appearance ‘like magic,’ there are energies you can work with that can change how you are perceived in the world.

To be effective with them long term requires work, mostly on yourself through self healing but it can be done if you are determined enough.

Northi,

Please know that you are loved just the way you are by Jesus. Don't look for "spirits" or entities who someone tells you may help you. They will do everything but help you and initially may even present themselves favorably. They will eventually hurt you. Just ask Jesus to help you with honesty and keep asking him. I promise he will answer you!

One of these things is not like the other.

Alex, no idea what that means.

It's humorous pattern spotting.

When I first came here I was in the process of a multi-year long episode of major depressive disorder (dysthymia). What helped me out of it was tracking down habits, patterns, and emotions that were creating and propagating it in my life. Then I took back the energy I was investing into those habits, those patterns, those emotions. Sometimes still I get triggered and I have a day that results in an episode, but now I have a toolkit to step out of it as well as deconstruct the trigger so I don't get triggered in that way again. I just recently had one of those trigger events, but since I've stepped into the power of my self expression I understood that my mood is my choice, so I cleared away the things that were in the way of me being present in the mood I sought. It was not instant, it took a day for me to get my feet again, but in the past it would have been something that would have sat with me for a few months where another trigger would have brought me further down, probably to the point of quitting my job or something in that order of magnitude as my habits would have dictated.

So, I live in a space with a number of transgender people who come to events in the space. It seems to me that you feel you don't have the power to move your own life in the direction you wish it to go. One of the first things they teach here, recap, is how to take back your energy from old habits, patterns, emotional content, that is dominating your present life and moving you in disempowering ways. Being transgender doesn't have to take away your happiness, rather it is the perceptions of other people or even ourselves that we take on and internalize that dominate our lives and tell us that we are not okay as we are, that we should be another way or we are abnormal.

In truth we are whole and complete. We are divine beings with the power to manifest the lives we want to live. The question then becomes, what is in the way of my power to live a fulfilling live the way I want to? What am I holding on to that doesn't fit in my life? In truth, you have the power to be happy at any moment, but that power is something you have stuff from other people that is getting in the way of you using it. Recap, for me, is a way of removing the constraining "should" and "shouldn'ts" that I've taken on as I've gone through my life. There are plenty of people in my life who have given me the best advice they could muster, but all it did for me was give me another way I "should" live my life. In truth, we know how to live the lives we want, but it is a lack of permission and holding onto the "shoulds" of others that stops us.

From this point is merely becomes a process of letting go of the "shoulds" that other people have given us and we have internalized into habits, patterns, and emotional content. Give yourself permission to live the life you want to, a life where you are expressing yourself. No entity can step into your own power for you, some would guide you, but there is the cost that it becomes merely another "should" if they are not caring and careful.

You have all the power you need, just step into using it.

Here's what I refer to as recap:

Hi Prairiecreek,

Welcome!. I felt I need to clarify some sort of opposing sides of how we gave advice to Northi's initial post. Our responses(me,Holly and Lorrie) were saying to him 'do it for yourself what you want/desire to have. While your advise to Northi was to 'ask for help on whatever he want/desire'. That is what Alex & Peastacey meant when they were spotting the pattern of variances on our responses. And to begin with, there is nothing wrong or right with our responses, only that we are seeing in different angle and perhaps it evokes confusion to you which is why I will try to clarify this and hopefully I can come to reconcile this variance.

I deeply understand what you said because I was born and raised as christian in fact many years ago, when I first read the book the 'secret' it was monumental in the sense that I was like insane, deeply confused. That book was basically saying that we have power to change our lives whereas based on how I understand the christian teachings, its only God or Jesus has power and we people down here on earth are waiting for their mercy. But anyhow, I was able to get out from the confusion and little by little I was able to understand and in fact gain so much clarity of who we are, who is Jesus/Christ what are they to us as believers, who is God... and there is something beyond that....

Okay. This is how I understand Jesus, by the way, Jesus and Christ is not the same to me, I can probably call it Jesus the Christ rather that Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus is the only son of God that whoever believe him, follow him will be save and gain eternal life that was promised. He is the link between God and man and he is the mediator of all the possible gifts and help that we need as humans. I believe all that and I am the witness of all those gifts in fact where I am now in my evolution is in fact I attribute that to his intervention. I believe that there is higher order that governs all of us, their intent to help and what I mostly believe is that, their utmost help they lend to us is for our own growth and evolution rather than our petty daily needs and demands in life.

Jesus came to earth to show us how we can save our own lives and how we can be equal to him. In fact He call us brothers because he knew that we are all children to God which he call Father. His teachings are guiding us on how to become Christ, to transcend our understanding, our perception and to eventually see the truth that we are indeed like him.

Maybe 10 years ago, I was advised to get divorce because my relationship was kind of ruining my 'soul' and if I want to progress to my spiritual journey I need to leave behind what is hurting me or hindering me. And its not arguable that most of us blame someone else for whatever 'suffering' we have well it maybe true but we failed to look into ourselves that is our own wounds are in fact hurting us.  So then I went to deep contemplation and I saw the crucifix and I was staring at it there was just a sudden realization in the form of question. I questioned him what makes him forgive even on the cross when he was dying and why I can't, what kind of heart he has that he was not angry to his oppressor while my heart was full of anger, what he see that I can't see. That curiosity led me to where I am now, though it was a travel coming to here, it was full of adventure with pain, confusion, deep shits and many troubles.

The point that I am trying to make is, yes Jesus help us but to me his intent is for us not to be just a bystander of his power, his light, his benevolent heart. His short life was showing us that there is a way out of this 'illusion' of suffering. That we should not focus on his death but instead of his resurrection. That he overcome the world by defeating death and come back to life. His life is an archetypal of our own lives. That salvation is within us, its our own making. That everything we want, change, have or be is already within because like Him we are all children of God. There is no one outside of Him, we are all created equal with the same image and likeness. Which means, what Jesus or God have, we also have.

So here in the cave, we do a lot of self healing(our way to forgiveness to ourselves and others.) Because its our past(the unforgiven episode of our lives) are hindering us to see "Christ" the one consciousness that governs our lives here. The same Christ that Jesus see, lived and act-thus he become Jesus the Christ.

As Alex pointed out of how he change his life and shape his experiences the way he intent to be and that is the effect of self healing and here in the cave we really emphasize that along with stalking our ego. As Jesus said, if you want to follow me take up your cross(in the cave our way is through self healing) and deny yourself(here by means of stalking our ego).

I hope that clarify with you and hope to see you here.

Belle

I had once watched a show where a woman hated her nose so much she couldnt bear to look at her own reflection.  She had to mist her mirror everyday just to be able to put on makeup, and she wore a large jeweled bindi to distract people from her nose. She ended up getting cosmetic surgery and was happy for a while,  but those feelings came back because she did not deal with the underlying issue.

Especially from a spiritual standpoint, it is important to understand that external things will not bring you lasting happiness.  Appearance is not meaningful but it is very easy to think otherwise, especially with how society functions.

I agree with the others here, try to do recapping and self love exercises. It takes time but its worth it.

Also, as someone who once used magic for selfish reasons, i strongly suggest you use other means. There are consequences that you may overlook.

Northi,

It is a difficult thing to deal with, believing you were born in the wrong body. It is hard to come to terms with, but I do not believe that anyone is born in the wrong body. I think this feeling stems from issues endured during early childhood, and are not indicative of a reality. It is impossible to become the opposite gender or sex, it is encoded into your DNA and you cannot change your DNA.

I think it would be best if you accepted who you were born to be, and attempt to come to terms with your feelings as they relate to your gender.

You asked if there was a spirit or angel that grants wishes, and you wanted to wish for a change in your appearance or life. This is very troubling to hear, and it reveals to me that what you really want is an easy way out of your predicament. I'm sorry to say that when you have a problem as big as believing you are something you're not, there is no easy way to fix it.

I doubt you will even read this, but I feel like I needed to say it anyway. I wish you luck.

Everyone's experiences with their respective gender identities comes from a very intimate and valid placenta. Likewise, what we know with our hearts to be authentic about ourselves, whether this contradicts the perceptions others have of who we are, is probably better off expressed in the world so that we can move in it in a way that makes sense to us. To find peace with it is important, and I think what Northi was asking for help with.

I'm having a hard time understanding what you mean by "intimate and valid placenta". Was that a spelling error?

Regardless, I believe that it is incorrect to say that just because you "know in your heart" that you are something that you're not means that it is authentic. It is actually damaging to your psyche to believe you are something you are not. When the question arises "who am I" and what you believe you are contradicts the reality of what you are, it is a source of great confusion and strife. It is a medical condition called Gender Dysphoria, as I'm sure you've heard. It is not a good idea to indulge in these thoughts or obsess over them. If a person with dementia tells you that they are a giant speckled Easter egg, it doesnt do any good to tell them "yes Mrs. Smith, you are indeed a giant speckled Easter egg." Instead, you would try to distract them from having such thoughts by engaging them in a different subject, rather than play into their delusions.

It is my opinion that people with gender dysphoria should not be encouraged to indulge themselves in the delusion of being the opposite gender. There is no scientific way to actually change your gender. Even if you go through the process of gender reassignment surgery, you will still be what you were born as. It is encoded into your DNA, and your feelings do not change that fact, no matter how strong your feelings may be.

With regards to Northi's question, the problem lies with the fact that they were asking for supernatural forces to change their appearance. This desperation is not good or healthy. That is a classic case of dysphoria, which is a mental illness, and should not be encouraged.

We respect everything you said Deathwalker as we respect in everyone's opinion. I guess what Peastacey mean in this post is everyone has the right to express what they feel and think regardless of people accept them or not, like them or dislike them, or whether other people find it disturbing. Because truly, who we are to judge upon another when we don't know what they been through in life.

We respect what science or medicine say about something but for us here we explore what is beyond impossible. I can't argue on what you see and believe, its hard to teach people when they are in their strong position.

But thank you for your post and you are always welcome.

There are those that come into this live with an experiential certainty of gender. To the extent that they believe when they get to a certain age they will be shocked that their gender hasn't changed and won't change, in the case where that gender does not line up with their experience of themselves. In this case the poster is seeking out broader sources to solve a challenge in their life they aren't finding support in other parts of their lives. Essentially the feel they don't have the power to bring about meaningful change in their life. How might this person best be empowered to have the change they want instead of the change we think they need?

yes ofc that would be helpful.  i feel the protectiveness you're feeling btw. i often do not take kindly to transphobia bc it's an insult to the earth...ommitting why... at the same time, yes history has some endless patterns, but it does not mean northi wont survive. we have to be strong for those that we're protecting and trust that their power to survive and grow from the unlikeliest circumstances when they're feeling unable to see this themselves. even when the odds are up against them : ) gives ppl the push to set themselves free...

not entirely sure what you were stating Peastacey   nor do I require further explanation How ever may I say : by all means let it be so  ie that Northi survives stronger and with a laser focus to be themselves amongst authentic people with  integrity  Again thanx for engaging
