In the Maker tradition we see that everything is brought into this world and moved via intent. We don't see it as having love or any other emotion. It is just intent. As with many things in this world the adjectives and emotions used to describe the universe are put there by humans who are very emotional creatures.

Hi Douglas,

Once again, we are faced with the limitations of words. Words only apply in a particular cultural context. To the Makers, love is an emotion and emotions are a way for humans to express their energy. So you could say love is a color of expressed human energy.

To other traditions, other contexts, Love isn't an emotion, it is the perception of Unity. Makers would call it Clarity. Greeks would say 'to see the great Pan' etc ...

So we can go back to your sentence and say : The Universe was made by the intent of Unity.

Works for me.

Mark and Ralph,

Thank you both for your responses.

This was my third new post so far. Everyone's feedback on the questions I've posed has been great.

Now I think I'll post a fourth question over in the Maker's section. More cosmology. Unity v. Duality :)

Words indeed have severe limitations and are always only a partial glimpse of a piece of what someone else has experienced. But you Makers seem to put them to good use.

A friend of mine a while back referred to our spiritual endeavors as something we do "as humans who attempt to humanize everything in order to have a basis for perception."

(And probably in my case to have a basis also for trying to talk about what can't be put into words. Ha ha.)
