Posted December 10, 20222 yr Hello all, I'd like to set up a chat to brainstorm a little on the top choices from the poll results. It looks although most people are interested in all topics,, the mushroom/fungi/mycelium connection to plants and the Appalachian granny witch connection to the makers and reviving plant uses . Since a lot of the soil biome is about mycelium connections, I think we could combine #3 with #1 and study the two together. I wanted to talk with people about some ideas in how we can work with I know Jess wants to take on leading the granny witch herbal practices challenge, it would be great if you could attend, Jess and let's just share what our hopes and intents are for the group and topics as we start to dive into them deeper. I too, will come up with a plan of sorts but I feel that as a group, our collective inputs will be much stronger than one person trying to figure it out for everyone. My only 'rule' in creating this group is that the group does all its work as makers, it's fine to bring in outside data, concepts, etc. but we need to run it through our maker filters, which is basically, looking at the energy behind everything. If there are new people that don't feel like they can do that just yet, I think everyone can have valuable input and even if you are bringing in outside date/concepts/practices, the more experienced makers here can help us all to weave new information it into a vision that resonates with the cosmology of the makers. I am currently thinking of a chat session on next Thursday, the 15ht at 9:30 PM ET. I think our group might be a little too big for a Zoom session and I think presenting concepts might be easier to do with text too. I'll post the channel when we get closer but it will probably be #makers Hope you all can make it,! Lorrie

December 11, 20222 yr I will be there. Thanks for all your work getting us to this point, Lorrie. And thank you Jess, for volunteering and your good ideas for approaching all this. I really like the idea of combining soil biome and mycelium connections. I'm all for the one rule, that we do everything as makers. After all, isn't that our reason for digging into this As a newer maker I'm grateful to do this with more experienced folks, see how different people approach it.
