Please join us for a plant journey, one of which will be sort of a collective of the soil biome, how does it communicate, can we communicate with it and work with it energetically? Can as you walk barefoot along the ground, have an interaction with the soil beneath your feet?

I hope you had fun, Holly.  

I wanted to suggest that everyone bring some soil to the journey tomorrow. If possible, it would be ideal to collect a few handfuls of dirt from your yard or somewhere close to where you live, close to the time we do the journey. We are going to work with it and so you need enough to 'draw' in it with your finger. If that's not possible, no worries, you can still work with the movement and then when you have a chance, try it out later on your own.

The other reason to have recently collected soil, is to be able to work with the live inhabitants (microorganisms residing within it). They are animals, teeny tiny ones but we can still work with them and try to communicate and learn from them in ways that are helpful to us.

Thank you to all that journeyed to their 'soil'  It was a very interesting trip. 

I wanted to answer the question about the symbol and using it on  your own body for grounding. This probably won't work that great as the symbol is meant to connect with the element itself, so it is 'meant' for using it with a rock say or some other earth element. If you use it on yourself, nothing 'bad' would happen, it just probably wouldn't give you great results. 

As far at the word - the answer is 'yes,' they used words while working with symbols. The actual word used wasn't that important, the critical part was focusing the intent with the element while speaking the word, it is sort of a catalyst and amplifier. 

Let's meet again and do another element in the not too distant future! I think 'wind' was suggested?

As far as the soil journey, I would just like to end with asking, what could this movement be used for, if one were to really work with it a lot? I can think of a number of uses for gardeners, farmers, herbalists. But I think a Maker could use this as a tool through the connection with ground? What do you all think?

Yes, I have seen it as a sound practice rather than just a word—a primordial way of activating voice and will to focus intent. In that sense, the symbol in ancient practices helped in reaching the ally, much like a telephone number. However, you still have to dial it, which is where the sound comes in. The conversation then revolves around your intent or question, similar to casting objects.
